Inviting a co-parent

Send an invite code so another parent can join your family and share the calendar.

Park Bench supports multiple parents on a single family account. When a co-parent joins, they see the same calendar, children, and events — and can add or edit events just like you.

How to invite

  1. Open Settings (person icon in the bottom nav)
  2. Tap Family
  3. Scroll to the Parents section
  4. Tap Invite a parent
  5. An invite code (like PB-XXXX) will be generated
  6. Share the code with your co-parent via text, email, or any messaging app

What happens next

When your co-parent receives the code:

  1. They open Park Bench and create an account (or sign in if they already have one)
  2. They enter the invite code
  3. They're automatically added to your family with the parent role
  4. They skip the full onboarding (no need to re-enter family details) — they go straight into the app

Roles

  • Owner — The person who created the family. Can invite and remove other parents, manage all settings.
  • Parent — Can view and edit the calendar, add events, use the assistant, and see recommendations. Cannot remove other parents or delete the family.

Both roles have full access to the family calendar and all events.

Managing invites

Back on the Family settings page, you can see all pending invites and revoke any that haven't been used yet. Each invite code can only be used once.

Tips

  • Invite codes don't expire, but they can only be used once
  • If a co-parent already has a Park Bench account with a different family, the invite will move them to your family
  • Both parents can use the AI assistant independently — it keeps separate conversation threads but shares the same calendar
