Link your Google Calendar for automatic two-way sync with Park Bench.

Last updated 2026-02-21

Connecting Google Calendar lets Park Bench automatically sync events in both directions — events you add in Park Bench appear in Google Calendar, and events from Google Calendar appear in Park Bench.

How to connect

  1. Open Settings (tap the person icon in the bottom nav)
  2. Tap Calendar Sync
  3. Tap Connect Google Calendar
  4. Sign in with your Google account and grant calendar access
  5. You'll be redirected back to Park Bench — sync starts immediately

What gets synced

From Google to Park Bench:

  • All events from your primary Google Calendar
  • Event titles, times, locations, and descriptions
  • Recurring event schedules
  • Changes you make in Google (edits, deletions) sync to Park Bench

From Park Bench to Google:

  • Events you create in Park Bench (manually or via the assistant)
  • Changes you make in Park Bench sync back to Google

How often it syncs

  • Real-time — Google sends Park Bench a notification whenever your calendar changes
  • Backup polling — Park Bench also checks every 5 minutes as a fallback
  • Manual sync — Tap the sync button on the Calendar Sync settings page anytime

What we access

Park Bench requests read and write access to your Google Calendar events only. We do not access your email, contacts, Drive, or any other Google services. You can revoke access anytime from your Google Account settings or by disconnecting in Park Bench.

Disconnecting

  1. Go to Settings > Calendar Sync
  2. Tap Disconnect
  3. Your Park Bench events remain, but sync stops immediately
  4. Events already synced to Google Calendar stay there — we don't delete them from Google when you disconnect
