What does the assistant remember?
How the AI learns your family's preferences over time.

The Park Bench assistant has a memory system that helps it learn about your family over time. This makes conversations more useful — instead of repeating yourself, the assistant already knows your preferences.
What it remembers
Memory items fall into categories:
- Preferences — "The kids love dinosaur exhibits" or "We prefer indoor activities on rainy days"
- Routines — "Emma has piano on Wednesdays" or "We usually do family dinner on Sundays"
- Details — "Max is allergic to peanuts" or "We live in Park Slope"
- Schedules — Regular commitments, school schedules, recurring activities
How memories are created
By the assistant — During conversations, the assistant may save useful information you mention. For example, if you say "Emma hates loud noises," it might save that as a preference.
By you — You can add memories directly from Settings > Memory. There are suggested prompts like "Tell us about Emma's favorite activities" to help you get started.
How memory is used
- The assistant references your memories when answering questions or making suggestions
- The Discover tab uses memory preferences to personalize event recommendations
- Memories persist across conversations — you don't need to repeat yourself
Privacy
Memories are private to your family. Other families, circle members, and community users cannot see your memories. You can view, edit, or delete any memory at any time from Settings > Memory.
