AI accuracy & limitations

When to double-check the assistant and what it can't do.

Last updated 2026-02-25

The Park Bench assistant is helpful for managing your calendar, but like all AI, it has limitations. Here's what to know.

What it's good at

  • Adding, editing, and deleting calendar events
  • Searching your calendar for specific events
  • Understanding natural date and time expressions
  • Reading event flyers from photos
  • Remembering your family's preferences

Where to double-check

Dates and times — The assistant usually gets dates right, but confirm recurring event patterns and "next week" vs. "this week" interpretations. It will show you what it created so you can verify.

Event details from photos — When reading a flyer, the assistant extracts what it can see. Double-check dates, times, and locations against the original flyer.

Vague requests — If you say "add something for Emma next week," the assistant may ask for clarification or make assumptions. Be specific with times and dates when they matter.

What it can't do

  • Browse the internet or look up external information
  • Make reservations or buy tickets
  • Contact other people or send messages
  • Access other families' calendars
  • Guarantee 100% accuracy on any AI-generated response

If it makes a mistake

Just tell it. Say "that's wrong, it should be Tuesday not Thursday" and the assistant will correct itself. You can also edit any event directly from the home screen.
