Assistant gave wrong info
How to correct the AI and what to do about errors.
Last updated 2026-02-25
The Park Bench assistant is helpful but not perfect. Here's what to do if it makes a mistake.
Correcting the assistant
Just tell it what went wrong in the same conversation:
- "That's wrong — it should be Tuesday, not Wednesday"
- "The time is 3:30, not 3:00"
- "Cancel that event, I didn't want to add it"
The assistant will correct itself and update the event.
Common mistakes
Wrong date — The assistant sometimes misinterprets "this week" vs. "next week" or gets confused by ambiguous date references. Be specific: "Tuesday, March 3rd" is clearer than "next Tuesday."
Missing details — If you give the assistant partial information, it may fill in defaults. Always verify the event details shown in the confirmation card.
Event not found — When you ask to edit or delete an event, the assistant searches by title and date. If it can't find the right event, be more specific about which one you mean.
If the assistant created the wrong event
- Go to the Home screen
- Tap the incorrect event
- Edit or delete it directly
This is often faster than going back and forth in chat.
Persistent problems
If the assistant consistently misunderstands something about your family, check Settings > Memory. An incorrect memory item could be causing confusion. Delete any memories that seem wrong.
Report an issue
If the assistant behavior seems genuinely broken (not just a misunderstanding), email us at hello@parkbench.nyc with a description of what happened.
