Park Bench collects only the data needed to run your family calendar and provide personalized recommendations. Here's a clear breakdown.
What we collect
Account information — Your email address and name, used for sign-in and identification.
Family profile — Your family name, children's first names and ages, grades, and schools. Used to personalize your experience.
Calendar events — Events you create, plus events synced from Google Calendar. This is the core of what Park Bench does.
Chat conversations — Your messages with the AI assistant, stored so it can reference context.
Memory items — Preferences and details you or the assistant save about your family.
Circle memberships — Which circles you've joined and your visibility settings.
Recommendation interactions — Which Discover events you added, saved, or dismissed.
Who can see your data
Your family — All parents on your family account can see the shared calendar, children, and events. Chat conversations are per-user.
Other Park Bench users — Cannot see your calendar, children, chat, or memory. The only thing visible is your name in circles where you've chosen "Visible" membership.
Park Bench team — We can access data for support and debugging purposes. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
AI processing — Your data is processed by AI to power the chat assistant and recommendations. The AI does not use your data for training or any other purpose beyond generating responses for you.
