Children's privacy
Special protections for children's information.
Last updated 2026-02-25
Park Bench takes children's privacy seriously. Children do not have accounts — only parents and caregivers use the app. Here's how we handle children's information.
What we store about children
- First name — Used to label events and personalize the assistant's responses
- Age — Used to filter and recommend age-appropriate events
- Grade — Used alongside age for school-related features
- School — Used to connect to school circles and localize recommendations
We do not store children's last names, photos, birth dates, health information, or any other identifying details beyond what's listed above.
Who can see children's information
Only parents on the same family account can see children's profiles. Children's names and details are never visible to:
- Other Park Bench users
- Circle members
- The public
How AI uses children's data
The assistant and recommendation engine see children's first names and ages to:
- Address events by child ("Emma's soccer practice")
- Filter recommendations by age range
- Personalize suggestions based on interests saved in memory
Children's data is processed by AI as part of the family profile context. It is not used for advertising or model training.
Deleting children's data
Remove a child from Settings > Family at any time. This removes their profile from your family. Deleting your account removes all family data permanently.
