Third-party services we use
The services we use and what data they access.

Park Bench uses a small number of trusted third-party services to provide its features. Here's what each one does and what data it handles.
Sign-in
Your sign-in is handled by a dedicated authentication service that stores your email address and verifies your identity when you sign in with a one-time code or Google. No passwords are stored.
Data storage
Your family data (profiles, events, chat history, memory, circles, and recommendations) is stored in a secure, real-time database. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
AI processing
The chat assistant and recommendation ranking are powered by Google's Gemini AI. Your messages, family profile, and calendar context are sent to Google for processing. Google's API terms state that data sent via the paid API is not used to train their models.
Calendar sync
If you connect Google Calendar, Park Bench accesses your primary calendar events for two-way sync. Your Google connection credentials are stored securely and used only for calendar operations.
Hosting & error monitoring
The Park Bench app is hosted on industry-standard cloud infrastructure. We use an error monitoring service to find and fix bugs — it receives technical context (browser type, error details) but does not receive your personal content (messages, events, children's data).
Our commitment
We only use services that meet our security and privacy standards. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. Each service accesses only the minimum data it needs to function.
