Improving your recommendations

Tips: update children's ages, add memory preferences, use dismiss.

The more Park Bench knows about your family, the better your recommendations get. Here's how to help.

Keep children's ages current

Recommendations are filtered by your children's ages. If ages are out of date, you might see events meant for younger or older kids. Update ages in Settings > Family.

Add memory preferences

Tell the assistant about your family's interests, and it will save them as memories that influence recommendations:

  • "The kids love dinosaurs and space"
  • "We prefer outdoor activities"
  • "Emma is really into art classes"

You can also add preferences directly from Settings > Memory.

Dismiss events you don't like

Dismissing an event tells the system "less like this." The more you dismiss, the better Park Bench understands what to filter out.

Add events you do like

When you add a recommended event to your calendar, the system notes your interest in that type of activity.

Select your schools and neighborhood

Your location is one of the strongest signals for recommendations. Events near your neighborhood and schools get prioritized. Make sure these are set correctly in Settings > Family.

Check in regularly

New recommendations are generated nightly. Open the Discover tab regularly to see fresh suggestions and keep providing feedback through your add/dismiss actions.
