Privacy in circles
Visible vs. anonymous membership — what others can see.
Last updated 2026-02-25
Park Bench gives you control over how visible you are in each circle you join.
Visibility options
Visible — Your name appears in the circle's member list. Other members know you're part of the group.
Anonymous — You're a member of the circle (you see its events and benefits) but your name does not appear in the member list. Other members don't know you're there.
What other members can see
Regardless of your visibility setting, other circle members can never see:
- Your family's calendar or events
- Your children's names, ages, or details
- Your conversations with the assistant
- Your memory preferences
- Your home address or personal contact information
The only thing visibility controls is whether your name appears in the member list.
Changing your visibility
- Go to Settings > Circles
- Tap the circle you want to update
- On the circle detail page, toggle your visibility setting
Share events setting
Each circle membership also has a "Share events" toggle. When enabled, events you share with the circle appear in other members' home screens under "From your circles." This is off by default.
