RSVPing to circle events
Respond Going, Maybe, or Can't go, and choose who sees the list.
Last updated 2026-10-18
Some circle events let members RSVP, so whoever posted the event knows who's coming.
Responding
When an event has RSVP turned on, you'll see three buttons on it:
- Going
- Maybe
- Can't go
Tap one to respond. Tap your answer again to clear it. You can change your answer anytime.
Each parent responds separately. If you and your co-parent both plan to go, you each tap Going.
You can RSVP from the event inside the circle (Settings > Circles, then the circle, then the event), or from the same event on your Home screen or calendar. There, the section is labeled with the circle's name so you know who sees your answer.
Turning on RSVP for an event
RSVP is off unless the person posting the event turns it on.
- When you add or edit a circle event, switch on Let members RSVP
- Choose whether to Show who's going (on by default)
- Save the event
The person who posted the event and the circle owner can change these settings later by editing the event.
Circle owners can also switch on RSVP on new events in the circle's settings, so new events start with RSVP on.
Who can see who's going
With Show who's going on, everyone in the circle sees who responded and how.
With it off, members see only the counts (for example, "3 going · 1 maybe") and their own answer. The person who posted the event and the circle owner still see names. Everyone else sees "Only the organizer can see who's responded."
Turning RSVP off
If you turn RSVP off for an event, the responses are kept. Turn it back on and they come back.
