Adding events

Create events manually from the home screen.

There are two ways to add events to your Park Bench calendar: the add event form on the home screen, or the chat assistant.

Using the add event form

  1. On the Home tab, tap the + button
  2. A form slides up from the bottom
  3. Fill in the event details:

- Title — What's the event? (required)

- Date — When is it?

- Start time and End time — Or toggle "All day"

- Location — Where is it? (optional)

- Assignee — Which family member is this for? (optional)

- Recurrence — Make it repeat weekly, monthly, etc. (optional)

  1. Tap Add event

The event appears immediately on your calendar and syncs to Google Calendar if connected.

Using the chat assistant

You can also type naturally in the Chat tab:

  • "Add Emma's dentist appointment Thursday at 3pm"
  • "Soccer practice every Tuesday at 4"
  • "Birthday party at Brooklyn Bridge Park Saturday 2-5pm"

The assistant creates the event and confirms the details.

Tips

  • If you skip the time, the event will be created as an all-day event
  • Events default to today's date if you don't specify a date
  • You can assign events to specific children or family members
