By creating an account or using Park Bench, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Park Bench is

Park Bench is a family calendar assistant for NYC parents. It helps you manage your family's schedule, discover local events, and connect with your school and neighborhood communities. The service includes an AI-powered chat assistant, calendar sync, event recommendations, and community circles.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You may invite other parents or caregivers to your family account. You are responsible for ensuring they agree to these terms.
• You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page.

Acceptable use

When using Park Bench, you agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Share misleading or harmful content in community circles.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service.

AI assistant

Park Bench includes an AI-powered assistant that helps manage your calendar. While we strive for accuracy, the assistant may occasionally make mistakes. You should verify important scheduling information. The assistant's responses are not professional advice of any kind.

Event information

Park Bench aggregates event information from public sources across NYC. We make reasonable efforts to keep this information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of third-party event details. Always confirm important details (times, locations, availability) with the event organizer.

Your content

You retain ownership of any content you create in Park Bench (events, messages, family information). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display this content as needed to provide the service to you and your family members.

Service availability

We aim to keep Park Bench available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. During early access, the service is provided free of charge and may change significantly as we improve it.

Limitation of liability

Park Bench is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Park Bench shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to missed events, scheduling errors, or data loss.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app. Continued use of Park Bench after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
