Leaving a circle
How to leave and what happens to your shared data.
Last updated 2026-02-25
You can leave any circle at any time.
How to leave
- Go to Settings > Circles
- Tap the circle you want to leave
- On the circle detail page, tap Leave circle
- Confirm your choice
What happens when you leave
- You stop seeing events from that circle on your Home screen
- The circle no longer influences your Discover recommendations
- Your name is removed from the member list (if you were visible)
- Events you previously shared with the circle remain visible to other members
- You can rejoin the circle later if you change your mind
School circles
If you leave a school circle, it won't change your child's school association in your family profile. The school is still listed under your child — you're just no longer part of the community circle. To fully disconnect from a school, update your child's school in Settings > Family.
Circle owners
If you're the circle owner and want to stop the circle entirely, you can archive it instead of leaving. Archiving removes the circle for all members.
