Editing recurring events

Choose to change just this event, this and future events, or the entire series.

When you edit a recurring event, Park Bench asks how much of the series you want to change.

Edit scope options

This event only

Changes apply to just this one occurrence. All other instances of the recurring event stay the same. Use this for one-off changes like "soccer is at a different field this week."

This and future events

Changes apply to this occurrence and all future ones. Past occurrences stay as they were. Use this for permanent schedule changes like "practice moved to 4:30 starting this week."

All events in the series

Changes apply to every occurrence — past and future. Use this to correct something that was wrong from the start, like fixing a typo in the event title.

Deleting recurring events

The same scope options apply when deleting. You can remove just one occurrence, this and future occurrences, or the entire series.

Tips

  • If you're unsure, "this event only" is the safest choice — it won't affect anything else
  • Changes to recurring events sync to Google Calendar with the same scope
